Free Breastfeeding Class
Breastfeeding is demanding but it's not complicated. Sounds crazy but hear me out. The reason why
so many women such as myself struggle with breastfeeding I because there are too many booby
traps set up for us to fail!
If you had all the right information and you were supported could you do it and enjoy the journey? Yes and YES!
Except everywhere you turn you're being judged.
Did you give your baby a bottle? You're a bad mom!
Did you co-sleep? You're a bad mom!
You didn't exclusively breastfeeding? You're a bad mom!
You're an attachment parent? You're a bad mom!
You exclusively pumped? You're a bad mom!
You left your baby with a babysitter because you need some down time? You're a bad mom!
I’ve heard it over-and-over for the past 5 years. Even when I work in hospitals as a doula, a RN, a private lactation counselor, or I'm holding a class. "We don't have support" or "we try, but don't know what to do." It burns my soul. Every woman deserves a chance to experience the fullness of motherhood and womanhood.
When your hungry baby is in your arms, looking at up you, being fussy and demanding to feed, what do you do? In a matter of seconds, you can get frustrated and feel inadequate. Everybody can’t afford to hire a lactation consultant (The typical fee is $150/hr.) so most women get stuck, give up or worse… turn to advice that makes them even MORE frustrated.I’m committed to helping new mamas achieve their “dream come true.”
I'm hosting a free class this Friday, August 7 at 12 PM in observance of World Breastfeeding Week. Register to gain access to all the details here:
Even if your bundle of joy is already here, there are little things you can do to make breastfeeding easier and less painful. I’d be happy to share them with you.
